Removal Procedure

- Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement (Without HP2) or Steering Column Replacement (HP2) or Steering Column Replacement (Without HP2 With Electric Tilt Column) .
- Remove the shift lever. Refer to Shift Lever Replacement .
- Disconnect the automatic transmission park lock cable (1).
- Disconnect the automatic transmission shift lock control actuator (1) from the automatic transmission control.
- Remove the automatic transmission control bolts (1).
- Remove the automatic transmission control (2).

NOTE:
The ignition lock cylinder set should be in the OFF-LOCK position.
CAUTION:
Do not use excessive force when removing the automatic transmission shift lock control from the steering column. Using excessive force may cause damage to the automatic transmission shift lock control and/or the steering column.
