Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Identifying Battery Retainer & Bolt

  1. Install the battery (3).
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Install the battery hold down retainer (2) and bolt (1) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  3. Connect the positive battery cable (2) to the battery (3) and tighten nut 8 N.m (71 lb in).
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
