Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

  1. Remove the fuel tank pump module. Refer to Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Replacement - Right Side .
    2. Fig 1: Pump Support Wire Retention

    NOTE:

    Do not pull on the connector wires.

  2. Dislodge the wires (1) from the pump support wire retention feature.

    NOTE:

    Do not touch the resistor circuit board.

  3. Disengage the locking tab (1) on the fuel level sensor by pushing inward.

  4. Slide the fuel level sensor (1) upward to the stationary lock (2).

  5. Remove the fuel level sensor (1).
