Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Before removing the air tubes, perform the following steps:
- Turn the ignition On, with the engine OFF.
- Install a scan tool.
- With the scan tool, exhaust the air from the system for at least 60 seconds.
- Disconnect the air inlet hose (1) from the fuel filler neck bracket (2) and discard the clip (3).
- Disconnect the electrical connection (1) from the compressor. Disconnect the right side air tube (2) from the compressor and the left side air tube (3) from the shock absorber.
- Loosen the mounting nuts (1).
- Slide the air compressor rearward and up at a 45 degree angle to clear the frame slots (1).
- Remove the air compressor from the vehicle.
NOTE:
Clean the components and the surrounding area to prevent dirt from entering the air system.
