Control Solenoid Valve and Transmission Control Module Assembly Programming and Setup (6L50/6L80/6L90)

  1. The control solenoid valve and transmission control module assembly must be programmed with the proper software/calibrations. Ensure that the following conditions exist in order to prepare for control solenoid valve and transmission control module assembly programming:
    • The battery is fully charged.
    • The ignition switch is in the RUN position.
    • The Techline equipment cable connection at the data link connector (DLC) is secure.
  2. Program the control solenoid valve and transmission control module assembly using the latest software matching the vehicle. Refer to up-to-date Techline equipment user instructions.
  3. If the control solenoid valve and transmission control module assembly fails to program, proceed as follows:
    1. Ensure that the control solenoid valve and transmission control module assembly connection is OK.
    2. Inspect the Techline equipment for the latest software version.
    3. Attempt to program the control solenoid valve and transmission control module assembly. If the control solenoid valve and transmission control module assembly still cannot be programmed properly, replace the control solenoid valve and transmission control module assembly.
