Installation Procedure

  1. Install the BPMV assembly to the bracket.
  2. Install the BPMV bracket bolt (1) and tighten to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the BPMV assembly.
  4. Install the BPMV bracket nuts (1) and tighten to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  5. Install the brake pressure modulator valve secondary brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).

  6. Install the brake pressure modulator valve primary brake pipe fitting (2) and tighten to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).
  7. Install the left rear brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  8. Install the right front brake pipe fitting (2) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
  9. Install the left front brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  10. Install the right rear brake pipe fitting (2) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
  11. Connect the EBCM electrical connector.
  12. Install the plenum front panel. Refer to Plenum Front Panel Replacement .
  13. Program the EBCM. Refer to Control Module References .
  14. Bleed the antilock brake system. Refer to Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed .
  15. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
  16. Calibrate the brake pedal position sensor. Refer to Brake Pedal Position Sensor Calibration .
  17. Center the steering angle sensor. Refer to Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering .
