Removal Procedure

WARNING: Refer to Brake Dust Warning .

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (V-Series) and Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Base) .
Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (October 4th 2015 and Earlier) and Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (October 5th 2015 and Later) .
Remove the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (V-Series) and Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Non V-Series) .
Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector and release the connector clip (1) from the vehicle frame.

Release the wheel speed sensor harness clip (1) from the vehicle frame.

Release the wheel speed sensor harness clips (1) from the front brake hose.

Release the wheel speed sensor harness retainer (1) from the strut bracket.

Clean the wheel speed sensor mounting area on the steering knuckle of any accumulated dirt and debris.
Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt (1).

Remove the wheel speed sensor from the steering knuckle.
