Removal Procedure

  1. Intake Manifold Cover Replacement - Front » Remove
  2. Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement » Remove
  3. Supercharger Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Supercharger Belt Tensioner Bracket)Supercharger Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Engine Coolant Manifold - Upper)Supercharger Belt Idler Pulley Replacement (Engine Coolant Manifold - Lower) » Remove
  4. Remove the camshaft position sensor bracket fasteners (1) from the engine block.

  5. Disconnect the oil pump flow control valve connector (1), camshaft position actuator solenoid connector (2), camshaft position sensor connector (3) and the engine wiring harness connector (4).

  6. Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement (LT4) » Remove
  7. Remove the camshaft position sensor bracket and sensor wiring harness (1).

  8. Remove the camshaft position sensor (1) from the engine front cover.
    NOTE: If reinstalling the original camshaft position sensor, replace seal (2). Always install the NEW seal supplied with the NEW camshaft position sensor.
