Removal Procedure

WARNING:

Do not use a service jack in locations other than those specified to lift this vehicle. Lifting the vehicle with a jack in those other locations could cause the vehicle to slip off the jack and roll; this could cause injury or death.

WARNING:

Refer to Brake Dust Warning .

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

  4. Unlock and disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (1).

  6. Release the wheel speed sensor harness grommet (1) from the strut bracket.
  7. Clean the wheel speed sensor mounting area on the steering knuckle of any accumulated dirt and debris.

  9. Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt (1).

  11. Remove the wheel speed sensor (1) from the steering knuckle.
