Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the battery cover.

  3. Remove the fuse block cover (1).
  4. Remove the fastener (2) and detach the front compartment fuse block cable terminal (3).
  5. Remove the body harness terminal fasteners (4) and detach the body harness terminals from the fuse block studs.

  6. Remove the battery positive cable fastener (2) and remove the battery positive cable (1), from the fuse block stud.
  7. Loosen the fuse block battery positive cable clamp fastener (3).

  8. Remove the fuse block battery positive cable clamp (1) and detach the hold down strap (4), from the battery positive post.
  9. Detach the fuse block retainers (2) and remove the fuse block (3), from the battery.
