Installation Procedure
- Install the following components if fuel tank replacement was necessary:
- Fuel tank fuel pump module. Refer to Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Replacement .
Use a suitable jack and install the fuel tank (1).
Install the fuel tank straps (2).
- Install the fuel tank strap bolts (1) and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
Install the filler pipe and tighten the hose clamps (1).
- Connect the fuel tank harness connector.
- Connect the evaporative emission and fuel pipes (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
- Install the two piece propeller shaft. Refer to Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (LTG, LGX) .
- Install the left and right side rear air deflectors. Refer to Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Left Side , and Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side .
- Refill the fuel tank.
- Inspect for fuel leaks.
