Installation Procedure
- Install the following components if fuel tank replacement was necessary:
- Fuel tank fuel pump module. Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module Replacement
- Use a suitable jack and install the fuel tank (1).
- Install the fuel tank straps (2).
- Install the fuel tank strap bolts (1) and tighten to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
- Connect the fuel tank electrical connector.
- Install the filler pipe and tighten the hose clamps (1).
- Connect the evaporative emission and fuel pipes (2). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Install the two piece propeller shaft. Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement (LT4, LTG)
- Install the transmission fluid cooler pipe mid line right and mid line left. Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Replacement (LT4 With M5U, ATOC Jumper) , or Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Replacement (LT4 With M5U, Rear Differential Inlet Hose) , or Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Replacement (LT4 With M5U, Rear Differential Outlet Hose) , or Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Replacement (LT4 With M5U, Mid Line Left) , or Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Replacement (LT4 With M5U, Mid Line Right)
- Install the left rear suspension bracket. Rear Suspension Bracket Replacement (Rear)
- Install the left and right side rear air deflectors. Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Left Side (CTS-V) , and Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side (CTS-V)
- Refill the fuel tank.
- Inspect for fuel leaks.
