Auxiliary Acceleration Pump System: Notes

  1. Check system with cold engine. Check that coolant temperature is below 122°F (50°C). Remove air cleaner cover. Start engine. Pinch AAP hose and stop engine. Release hose. Check that gasoline spurts out from acceleration nozzle.
  2. Repeat step 1) after engine warms up. Check that gasoline does not spurt out from the acceleration nozzle. Reinstall air cleaner cover. If no problem is found with this inspection, the system is okay.
