Shift Control Cable

  1. Move trans. selector in Neutral. Loosen both control cable lock nuts. Shift trans. control lever to Neutral. By hand, tighten outer control cable lock nut until it contacts the lever joint. See Figure .
  2. Using a wrench, tighten the inner control cable lock nut. Ensure the transmission operates in all range positions. Shift trans. selector lever to Park and ensure vehicle will not move.
