Blower Motor Switch: Service and Repair

CHEVETTE & 1000

1. Disconnect battery ground cable and blower motor harness leads.
2. Mark position of blower motor mounting flange to blower case prior to removal, using scribed mark or paint
3. Remove blower to case retaining screws, then motor and cage assembly. If sealing compound causes unit to stick in case, carefully pry around flange area to loosen.
4. Remove cage retaining nut to separate motor from cage. When reassembling cage to motor, install cage with open end away from motor.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Align mark on mounting flange with mark on case. Renew sealer at mounting flange if necessary.
