IGNITOR & Knock Controller Test

  1. Unplug ignition coil lead wire at coupler and distributor lead wire at coupler. Connect 12-volt test light to ignition coil coupler (wiring harness side). See Fig 1.
  2. Set multimeter to ohms range. Connect positive tester lead to Orange wire terminal and negative lead to Pink wire terminal.
  3. If test light is illuminated, ignitor and knock controller is okay. If not, replace ignitor and knock controller.
