Front Wipers Run Continuously

  1. Remove electrical connector from wiper motor. Turn ignition on. Ensure wiper switch is off. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between Gray wire of front wiper motor connector and ground.
  2. If battery voltage exists, proceed to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, measure voltage between Purple wire of wiper motor connector and ground. If battery voltage does not exist, replace wiper motor. If battery voltage exists, check for short to battery voltage in Purple wire between wiper switch and wiper motor. If no short exists, replace wiper switch.
  3. Check for short to battery voltage in Gray wire between wiper motor and wiper switch terminal "P". If no short exists, replace wiper switch.
