Rear Washer Inoperative

  1. Disconnect rear washer motor at washer reservoir. Turn ignition on. Connect a test light between terminals "A" (Dark Green wire) and "B" (Black wire) of washer motor harness connector. Activate wash switch while observing test light.
  2. If test light does not come on while activating wash switch, go to next step. If test light does come on while activating wash switch, check for faulty connections at rear washer motor and repair as necessary. If connections are okay, replace washer motor.
  3. Connect test light between terminal "A" (Dark Green wire) of rear washer motor harness connector and ground. If test light does not come on while activating wash switch, go to next step. If test light does come on while activating wash switch, repair open in Black wire between washer motor and ground.
  4. Check for open or faulty connections in Dark Green wire between washer motor and wiper switch. Repair as necessary. If Dark Green wire is okay, replace wiper switch.
