Analog/Digital Multiplexer Chip

A/D Multiplexer Chip:

Purpose:
The Multiplexer chip receives voltage signals from various input devices. The input signals are simultaneously and constantly converted from analog input to digital output.

Operation:
The computer requires digital DC, low voltage to process information used to calculate engine or driveablity conditions. The multiplexer converts incoming signals to a frequency and intensity compatible to the computer.

Location:
The multiplexer chip is located inside the PCM.
