Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer): Service and Repair

Engine Coolant Temperature:






CAUTION: Care must be taken when handling engine coolant temperature sensor. Damage to engine coolant temperature sensor will affect proper operation of the fuel injection system.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Drain radiator coolant.
2. Rear intake Duct.
3. Electrical connector.
4. Using a 19 mm deep well socket and 6 inch extension remove sensor.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Coat engine coolant temperature sensor threads with sealer P/N 1052080 or equivalent.
2. Sensor in engine, torque to 30 Nm (22 ft lb).
3. Electrical connector.
4. Refill coolant, install rear intake Duct.
5. Negative battery cable.
6. Start engine check for leaks.
7. Recheck coolant level.
