Keyless Entry Transmitter Lock Function Inoperative
At Driver's Door
1) Use a test light and backprobe between keyless entry receiver connector terminal "E" (White wire) and ground. Observe test light and operate keyless entry transmitter door button. If test light does not light, check for poor connection or open circuit in White wire.
2) If test light does light, backprobe with test light between keyless entry receiver connector terminal "D" (Tan wire) and ground. If test light does not light, go to next step. If test light lights, check Tan wire for a short to voltage. If circuit is okay, replace keyless entry receiver.
3) Continue backprobing with test light between keyless entry receiver terminal "D" (Tan wire) and ground. Press left front door lock switch to unlock. If test light does not flash, check Tan wire for a short to ground. If circuit is okay, replace keyless entry receiver. If test light does flash, check Tan wire at keyless entry receiver and Gray wire at door lock relay for an open circuit. If circuits are okay, replace left front door lock actuator.
