Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the right hand side fuel rail cover.




2. Disconnect the MAP sensor electrical connector.




3. Twist the MAP sensor forward in order to release the sensor from the retainer.
4. Pull the sensor upward.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Lightly coat the MAP sensor seal with clean engine oil before installing the sensor.

1. Install the MAP sensor. Push down in order to engage the sensor into the retainer.
2. Connect the MAP sensor electrical connector.
3. Install the right hand side fuel rail cover.
