Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor

CMP sensor is a signal generator (pick-up coil and magnet) and a signal rotor. CMP sensor is mounted inside distributor housing. A pulsing signal (one pulse per cylinder) is sent to PCM and is used to identify cylinder, calculate engine speed, determine injector firing and monitor cylinder misfire.
