Content Theft Deterrent

The Body Control Module (BCM) type 4 features a content theft deterrent system which is designed to deter vehicle vandalism and theft. The content theft deterrent system perform these functions:
^ Flashes the exterior lights.
^ Sounds the horn.
^ Disables fuel delivery to the engine.

The BCM monitors the status of the doors, LF/RF/liftgate door lock cylinders, liftgate, sliding door(s), shock sensor, power door locks, and the keyless entry system.

The BCM operates the exterior lights, horn, and the security indicator lamp according to the mode of operation the system is in. The BCM also communicates a fuel enable signal to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) when the system is disarmed.

The BCM also provides feature customization of the theft deterrent, shock sensor, and arm/disarm modes.
