Compressor Mounting Bracket Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

IMPORTANT: Do not evacuate the refrigerant. You can leave the compressor hose assembly to the compressor.

2. Remove the compressor from the bracket.
3. Remove the upper compressor mounting bracket bolt.
4. Remove the strut bracket mounting bolts.
5. Remove the compressor mounting bracket (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the compressor mounting bracket (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the upper compressor mounting bracket bolt and the strut bracket bolts.

Tighten
2.1. Tighten the upper compressor mounting bracket bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
2.2. Tighten the strut bracket bolts to 66 N.m (49 lb ft).

3. Install the compressor.
4. Lower the vehicle.
