Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

A/C REFRIGERANT PRESSURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the electrical connection at the sensor.

IMPORTANT: The sensor is mounted on a service fitting. Do not discharge the system.

2. Remove the pressure sensor. Discard the O-Ring seal.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Lubricate the new O-Ring seal in clean 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.
2. Install the new O-Ring seal.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the pressure sensor.

Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

4. Connect the electrical connection at the sensor.
