On-Vehicle Testing: Notes

WARNING: Vehicles are equipped with air bag supplemental restraint system. Before attempting any repairs involving steering column, instrument panel or related components, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS and DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See GENERAL MOTORS (CARS) before disconnecting battery.
NOTE: Before making system tests, visually inspect all terminals for clean, tight connections. Ensure all system related fuses are okay. Ensure battery is in good condition and is fully charged prior to testing system.
