Power Seat System: Description

WARNING: Vehicles are equipped with air bag supplemental restraint system. Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Do not apply electrical power to any component on steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.

Power seats operate using toggle switch located on seat cushion side trim panel. Seat adjusters are powered by 3 separate 12-volt, reversible motors. Each motor incorporates an internal circuit breaker. A plug-in 30-amp power seat circuit breaker, located in right instrument panel accessory wiring junction block, protects power seat wiring. On models with heated seat option, power is supplied by 15-amp mini-fuse located in left (driver seat) and right (passenger seat) instrument panel fuse blocks.
