Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter

NOTE: Following procedure must be performed when replacing Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR), replacing a Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter, adding a RKE transmitter or grounding RKE programming connector. All RKE transmitters to be used with vehicle MUST be programmed at the same time. After entering this procedure all previous RKE transmitters will not operate. Up to 4 RKE transmitters can be programmed to one vehicle.
  1. Open trunk lid. Fold down right side rear compartment trim. Using a jumper wire with alligator clips ground Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) programming connector terminal (Black/White wire). RKE programming connector is located behind right side rear compartment trim, tapped to wiring harness, near antenna mast. Door locks will lock and unlock, indicating receiver is in program mode.
  2. Depress and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously on RKE transmitter to be programmed for 10 seconds. Door locks will lock and unlock, indicating RKE transmitter has been programmed. First RKE transmitter is now programmed. Repeat this step for all other RKE transmitters to be use with vehicle (up to 4 transmitters).
  3. After programming all RKE transmitters to be used with vehicle, disconnect jumper wire to exit programming mode. Verify all RKE transmitters operate properly. Return right side rear compartment trim to original position. Close trunk lid.
