Cruise Control Systems: Description

CAUTION:
If battery is disconnected, radio will go into anti-theft protection mode. Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from owner prior to servicing vehicle.
Cruise control is a speed control system that maintains a desired vehicle speed under normal driving conditions. Steep grades may cause variations in selected speeds. System has capability to cruise, coast, resume speed and accelerate. The system can be operated at vehicle speeds greater than 25 MPH.
Cruise control system consists of Powertrain Control Module (PCM), Cruise Control Module (CCM), cruise control servo (includes actuator motor), Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS), cruise control functional switches, brakelight switch, cruise control release switch (M/T), Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch (A/T), associated cables and related wiring.
