WARNING: Deactivate air bag system before performing any service operation. For 1999 Prizm, see DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM For 2000 Prizm, see DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on instrument panel or steering column without first deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.
