Keyless Entry Does Not Program

  1. Use a known functional transmitter in order to program system. If system does not operate properly, go to next step. If system operates properly, go to step  4 .
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). Test Pink/White wire between RCDLR and Data Link Connector (DLC) for open or short to ground. If problem was found, go to next step. If problem was not found, go to step  5 .
  3. Repair open or short to ground in Pink/White wire between RCDLR and DLC. After repair, go to step  6 .
  4. Replace inoperative transmitter. Program transmitter, see TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING  under PROGRAMMING. Go to step  6 .
  5. Replace remote control door lock receiver. See REMOTE CONTROL DOOR LOCK RECEIVER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Program transmitters, see TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING  under PROGRAMMING. Go to next step.
  6. Operate system to verify repair.
