Ignition Relay: Testing and Inspection

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The ignition relay supplies voltage to the following components:
^ The A/C relay
^ The Ignition Control Modules (ICM)
^ The fuel injectors
^ The Powertrain Control Module (PCM)
^ The secondary Air Injection (AIR) system
^ The Evaporative Emissions (EVAP) system
^ The mass airflow (MAF) sensor
^ Transmission control solenoids
^ The cruise control release switch

DIAGNOSTIC AIDS
If the IGN relay fails to close:
^ The scan data will be available
^ The vehicle will crank, but not start
^ The dash indicator lamps will illuminate
