Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter Synchronization

Resynchronization may be necessary due to security method used by Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system. RKE transmitter does not send same signal twice to Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). RCDLR will not respond to a signal that has been sent previously. This prevents anyone from recording and playing back signal from transmitter. Resynchronization may be necessary if battery in RKE transmitter is very weak, battery in transmitter was replaced or battery in vehicle has been in a low or no charge condition for an extended period of time. To resynchronize RKE transmitter with RCDLR, stand within 5 ft from vehicle and simultaneously press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on RKE transmitter for 7 seconds. Horn should chirp to confirm synchronization.
