Remote Keyless Entry Transmitter

NOTE: Vehicle comes equipped with two transmitters. Receiver can be programmed to accept up to four transmitters. If number of transmitters programmed exceeds four, previously programmed transmitters will be erased in order, starting with first transmitter.
  1. To program a Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter, there are 3 modes within Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR). Add mode (mode one), this mode is used for adding new or additional transmitters. Rewrite mode (mode 2), this mode is used to erase all previously programmed transmitters and should be used when installing a new RCDLR. Confirmation mode (mode 3), this mode is for confirming how many existing transmitters are registered before adding any RKE transmitters.
  2. Ensure ignition switch is in LOCK position and key is not in ignition switch. Ensure all doors closed except driver's side. Ensure all doors are unlocked.
  3. Insert ignition key into ignition switch momentarily then remove it. Using driver's side door lock/unlock switch, lock and unlock all doors 5 times at one second intervals within 40 seconds. Close then open driver's side door. Using driver's side door lock/unlock switch again, lock and unlock all doors 5 times at one second intervals within 40 seconds.
  4. Insert ignition key into ignition switch. Turn ignition switch from LOCK position to RUN position at one second intervals according to mode desired. To enter mode one, turn ignition switch from LOCK position to RUN position once. To enter mode 2, turn ignition switch from LOCK position to RUN position twice. To enter mode 3 turn ignition switch from LOCK position to RUN position 3 times. Remove ignition key from ignition switch.
  5. If mode one or 2 has been selected, doors will lock then unlock once or twice at one second intervals, once for mode one and twice for mode 2. If mode 3 is selected, doors will lock then unlock 0-4 times at 2 second intervals to inform technician of number of RKE transmitters programmed.
  6. Press any RKE transmitter button for 2 seconds. Doors will lock and unlock once at a one second interval to indicate signal has been received by RCDLR from RKE transmitter. Close driver's side door, then open it. Press any button on second RKE transmitter for 2 seconds. Doors will lock and unlock once at a one second interval to indicate second RKE transmitter signal has been received.
  7. If doors lock and unlock twice, transmitter programming is not complete. Go to step  6 to begin transmitter programming again.
  8. If driver's side door remains closed, 20 seconds elapses with no input to RKE module, ignition key is inserted into ignition switch or 4 transmitters have been successfully been programmed at once RCDLR will exit programming mode.
