Lockout Prevention

  1. When lockout prevention is enabled, BCM will not lock doors when driver door is open, key is in ignition switch and locking control mode 2 or 4 is enabled. BCM will also disable all door lock, last door closed locking, key cylinder unlock and Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) unlock functions. To enable lockout prevention feature, ensure locking control mode 2 or 4 is selected. See LAST DOOR CLOSED LOCKING & LOCKOUT PREVENTION MODES  under PROGRAMMING.
  2. To override lockout prevention feature, press and hold driver power door lock switch in LOCK position for 3 seconds, then release. BCM will lock all doors immediately.
