Remote Keyless Entry Diagnostic System Check

  1. Attempt to enter Body Control Module (BCM) diagnostic mode. See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS  . If BCM enters diagnostic mode, go to next step. If BCM does not enter diagnostic mode, perform BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. If BCM displays any DTCs, go to next step. If BCM does not display any DTCs, repair Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system by symptom. See appropriate REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS article.
  3. If BCM displays DTC 8, perform DTC 8: REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM  under DIAGNOSTIC TESTS. If any other BCM DTCs are displayed, perform appropriate test in accordance with DTC retrieved. See BODY CONTROL MODULE DTC INDEX  table under ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS.
