Optical Sensor
NOTE:
Do not allow bright light to reach optical sensor during testing. Module may not be able to monitor position.
Rear Side Door Actuator Control Module (RSDACM) uses an optical sensor to monitor sliding door position at all times. Optical sensor requires a 5-volt reference and reference return from RSDACM. There are 2 signal circuits from optical sensor to RSDACM. Optical sensor sends pulses through both signal circuits to Power Sliding Door (PSD) module whenever sliding door is in motion. These pulses allow RSDACM to calculate position of sliding door at all times. Optical sensor signal circuits switch from 0.01-4.5 volts as sliding door is moving.
