DTC 014: Control Module Malfunction: Testing

  1. If door diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If door diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform door diagnostic system check. See DOOR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Disconnect sliding door actuator motor 2-pin harness connector C4 from Rear Side Door Actuator Control Module (RSDACM). Connect test light between terminals "A" and "B" at RSDACM (component side). See Figure. Turn power sliding door on-off switch to OFF position, to exit on-board diagnostic modes. Manually close power sliding door. Turn power sliding door on-off switch to ON position. Press power sliding door OPEN/CLOSE switch. If test light flashes, go to next step. If test light does not flash, go to step  8.
  3. Check for open in appropriate wire between RSDACM and sliding door actuator motor. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If problem does not exist, go to next step. If problem exists, repair as necessary. After repair, go to step  9.
  4. Disconnect RSDACM 4-pin harness connector C3. Connect a test light between terminals "A" and "B" at RSDACM (component side). Press power sliding door OPEN/CLOSE switch. If test light flashes, go to next step. If test light does not flash, go to step  8.
  5. Check RSDACM harness connectors for poor connections or loose terminals. If problem does not exist, go to next step. If problem exists, repair as necessary. After repair, go to step  9.
  6. Check for open in appropriate wire between RSDACM and actuator motor and clutch assembly. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If problem does not exist, go to next step. If problem exists, repair as necessary. After repair, go to step  9.
  7. Replace actuator motor and clutch assembly. After repair, go to step  9.
  8. Replace RSDACM. After repair, go to next step.
  9. Reinitialize power sliding door. See POWER SLIDING DOOR REINITIALIZATION  under PROGRAMMING. Operate system to verify repair. If problem does not exist, system is okay. If problem exists, go to step  2.
