Installation Procedure

  1. Install the cruise control servo cable (4) to the servo lever (1).

  3. Install the cruise control cable (4) to the bracket. Secure the cable with the screw (3).
  4. Install the cruise control servo cover (1) by applying slight downward pressure to the cover.

  5. Install the cruise control cable (2) to the throttle lever (3).

    Opening the throttle lever by hand will aide in the installation of the cruise control cable.

  6. Install the cruise control cable (2) to accelerator cable bracket.
  7. Install the cruise control cable to the cable guide clips.
  8. Adjust the cable adjusting lock nuts to allow slight freedom of movement between the cruise control cable and the throttle lever.
    NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  9. Secure the cruise control cable lock nuts (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the cruise control cable adjusting lock nuts to 8 N.m (71 in lbs).
