Installation Procedure

  1. Install the cruise control servo to the cruise control bracket. Secure the servo with the 4 screws.
    NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  2. Install the cruise control servo and bracket to the vehicle. Secure the servo and bracket with the 3 bolts (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the cruise control servo mounting bolts to 10 N.m (89 in lbs).

  3. Connect the cruise control servo electrical connector (3).
  4. Install the cruise control servo cable (4) to the servo lever (1) and bracket. Secure the cruise control cable servo cable bracket with the one screw.

  5. Install the accelerator control cable to the servo lever (1) and bracket.
  6. Adjust the cable adjusting lock nut to allow slight freedom of movement between the accelerator control cable and the servo lever.
  7. Secure the accelerator cable lock nut (2).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the accelerator cable adjusting lock nut to 8 N.m (71 in lbs).

  8. Install the cruise control servo cover (1).
