Fuel Tank Leak Test: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Chevrolet Tracker. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION:
Place a dry chemical (Class "B") fire extinguisher near the area before performing a Fuel Tank Leak Check. Before removing fuel tank for a suspected leak, ensure that fuel pipes or tubes are not leaking onto the tank. Once removed, make sure that fuel is not leaking around the fuel sender "O" ring. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury.
