Programming Variable Effort Steering with the Tech 2

Perform the following steps to program the response mode:

  1. Install the scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
  3. Select the correct vehicle and model year.
  4. Select Chassis.
  5. Select Recalibration.
  6. Press Enter.
  7. Select YES if the VIN # is correct.
  8. Select YES if vehicle has Magna Steer RPO # NV8.
  9. Select NO to select other than Factory Standard calibration mode.
  10. Select the desired response mode.
  11. When procedure is complete, press EXIT to return to the menu.
