Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE  in Battery
  2. Remove the right side instrument panel insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - RIGHT  in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Push the release tab on the bottom of the bracket to release the body control module.
  4. Slide the body control module from the bracket.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
