Scan Tool Data Definitions

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Cadillac Seville. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

LF Tire Pressure:  The scan tool displays 0-100 psi. The actual pressure of the left front tire.

LR Tire Pressure:  The scan tool displays 0-100 psi. The actual pressure of the left front tire.

Manual Tire Programing:  The scan tool displays Active or Inactive. Active indicates the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) system is currently in the sensor programing mode. Inactive indicates the TPM system is not in the sensor programing mode.

RF Tire Pressure:  The scan tool displays 0-100 psi. The actual pressure of the right front tire.

RR Tire Pressure:  The scan tool displays 0-100 psi. The actual pressure of the right rear tire.

LF Tire Pressure Sensor Battery Status:  The scan tool displays OK or Low. OK indicates the left front TPM sensor's internal battery level is good. Low indicates the left front TPM sensor's internal battery level is low.

LR Tire Pressure Sensor Battery Status:  The scan tool displays OK or Low. OK indicates the left rear TPM sensor's internal battery level is good. Low indicates the left rear TPM sensor's internal battery level is low.

RF Tire Pressure Sensor Battery Status:  The scan tool displays OK or Low. OK indicates the right front TPM sensor's internal battery level is good. Low indicates the right front TPM sensor's internal battery level is low.

RR Tire Pressure Sensor Battery Status:  The scan tool displays OK or Low. OK indicates the right rear TPM sensor's internal battery level is good. Low indicates the right rear TPM sensor's internal battery level is low.

LF Tire Pressure Sensor Status:  The scan tool displays Normal or Failed. Normal indicates the left front TPM sensor is in power up mode. Failed indicates the left front TPM sensor is in power down mode.

LR Tire Pressure Sensor Status:  The scan tool displays Normal or Failed. Normal indicates the left rear TPM sensor is in power up mode. Failed indicates the left rear TPM sensor is in power down mode.

RF Tire Pressure Sensor Status:  The scan tool displays Normal or Failed. Normal indicates the right front TPM sensor is in power up mode. Failed indicates the right front TPM sensor is in power down mode.

RR Tire Pressure Sensor Status:  The scan tool displays Normal or Failed. Normal indicates right rear TPM sensor is in power up mode. Failed indicates the right rear TPM sensor is in power down mode.

LF Tire Pressure Transmitters:  The scan tool displays Normal or Failed. Normal indicates the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) is receiving tire pressure data transmissions from the left front TPM sensor. Failed indicates the RCDLR is not receiving tire pressure data transmissions from the left front TPM sensor.

LR Tire Pressure Transmitters:  The scan tool displays Normal or Failed. Normal indicates the RCDLR is receiving tire pressure data transmissions from the left rear TPM sensor. Failed indicates the RCDLR is not receiving tire pressure data transmissions from the left rear TPM sensor.

RF Tire Pressure Transmitters:  The scan tool displays Normal or Failed. Normal indicates the RCDLR is receiving tire pressure data transmissions from the right front TPM sensor. Failed indicates the RCDLR is not receiving tire pressure data transmissions from the right front TPM sensor.

RR Tire Pressure Transmitters:  The scan tool displays Normal or Failed. Normal indicates the RCDLR is receiving tire pressure data transmissions from the right rear TPM sensor. Failed indicates the RCDLR is not receiving tire pressure data transmissions from the right rear TPM sensor.

Tire Pressure Sensor ID:  The scan tool displays Valid or Invalid. Valid indicates all of the TPM sensors identification codes are valid. Invalid indicates that at least one of the TPM sensors ID codes are invalid.
