Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

Install the ignition switch assembly (3) onto the ignition lock cylinder case (2) and secure by using the 2 tapping screws.
Tighten

Tighten the screws to 4.7 N.m (42 lb in).
Install the key alarm connector (1) into the ignition lock cylinder case (2).

Slide the PASSKEY® III (2) onto the ignition lock cylinder case (1).

Slide the turn signal switch assembly connectors (2) to the bulkhead connector (1).

CAUTION: Refer to SIR INFLATOR MODULE COIL CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
Install the wire harness assembly (4) into the wire harness strap (5).
Install the wire harness strap (2) into the steering column tilt head assembly (1).
Install the wire harness straps (3) onto the wire harness assembly (4).
Install the upper and lower trim covers. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS REPLACEMENT .
Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in Airbag.
