Installation Procedure

Install the battery into the cleaned carrier.
Install the battery hold-down retainer.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the retainer bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).
Connect the battery positive cable.
Tighten: Tighten the cable bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
Connect the battery negative cable.
Tighten: Tighten the cable bolt to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
