Installation Procedure

  1. Assemble the fuel pipe bundle.
  2. Fig 1: View Of Fuel Rail

  3. Install new O-rings (2) to the fuel rail and pipes connections.
  4. Connect the engine fuel pipes to the fuel rail.
  5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the engine fuel pipes fasteners located on the engine.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fuel bundle fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  7. Secure the fuel bundle to the fuel rail.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  8. Connect the engine fuel pipes to the engine fuel flex hoses.
  9. Pull back on fuel lines to ensure they are properly connected.
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Engine Electrical.
  11. Inspect for leaks using the following procedure:
    1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
    2. Inspect for fuel leaks.
    3. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
    4. Turn ON the ignition.
