Scan Tool Data Definitions

Door Ajar Switches

The scan tool displays Open/Closed. The passenger door ajar switch input to the body control module (BCM), where an open door is displayed as Open.

Door Lock Motor

The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The BCM output to the door lock actuators, where Lock is displayed as Active.

Door Unlock Switch

The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The driver and front passenger door lock switches input to the BCM, where a switch in the Lock or Unlock position is displayed as Active.

Door Unlock Motor

The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The BCM output to the passenger door lock actuators, where Unlock is displayed as Active.

Doors Battery Fd

The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The state of the door lock system battery feed circuit as seen by the BCM, where a complete circuit is displayed as Active.

Doors System Gnd

The scan tool displays Active/Inactive. The state of the door lock system ground circuit as seen by the BCM, where a complete circuit is displayed as Active.

Driver Door Open Sw.

The scan tool displays Open/Closed. The driver door open switch input to the BCM, where an open door is displayed as Open.

Drivers Door Unlock Motor

The scan tool displays On/Off. The BCM output to the driver door lock actuator, where Unlock is displayed as On.

Electronics Battery Fd

The scan tool displays volts. The state of the battery voltage supplied to the BCM.

Key Cylinder Unlock

The scan tool displays On/Off. The key cylinder unlock switch input to the BCM, where a key cylinder in the unlock position is displayed as On.

Software Part Number

The scan tool displays the BCM program part number. This is used to determine applicability to vehicle RPO content.
