Installation Procedure

    IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during battery installation.
  1. Install the battery to the battery tray.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the battery hold down retainer.

    Tighten:  Tighten the battery hold down retainer bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Connect the positive battery cable.

    Tighten:  Tighten the cable bolt to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  4. Connect the negative battery cable bolt. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
